We have all been in this situation where we have just completed our degree, and the next thing we want to do is start a business or a startup. But the more we move towards it, the more we start to understand the actual amount of money required to build and run a business.
A lot of the cost initially goes into technology, and the difficult part is that most of these costs are recurring. There is the initial development cost, and then there is the running cost. And here, I am only talking about the technology and infrastructure costs. I have not even started talking about all the other expenses involved, which can vary completely depending on what business these young entrepreneurs are trying to build.
This is where AssamLabs is trying to do something different.
What AssamLabs is offering is complete guidance and 100% support in building the base technology infrastructure of a startup. We help entrepreneurs make use of the best things the internet has to offer for free, along with sharing the knowledge and options that many people running technology businesses simply don't talk about.
And yes, this is something we at AssamLabs are actually doing.

Our goal here is not to make money. The goal is to help the upcoming community of entrepreneurs grow and give them a better starting point for their journey. We want to help young entrepreneurs understand technology, make better decisions, and most importantly, avoid spending money where they don't actually need to.
Especially for businesses based in Assam, people can not only connect with us over a call, but can actually visit our Lab, sit down with our team, and have a complete discussion about what they are trying to build. We will then help them understand what they need, what they don't need, where they can save money, and how they can build their initial technology infrastructure in a better way.

But there are a few conditions we have before we provide this support.
1. The company must be a startup
This initiative is specifically for startups and new businesses that are at the beginning of their journey.
2. Founders must be genuinely enthusiastic
We are looking for founders who are serious about building something, not someone who is simply experimenting with an idea because they have some free time.
Our time is precious too, and we want to spend it with people who are genuinely committed to building something.
3. Founders must have the relevant skills to kickstart their startup
If a founder has no money and no relevant skills to build or operate the business, I don't think this initiative is going to help anyone.
We can help you with the technology infrastructure, guide you towards better choices, and help you understand what you need. But you should have the skills and commitment required to actually run the business.
4. The idea phase must already be ready
We are not here to discuss what your business is going to be.
You should already have an idea of what you want to build and where you want to take it. Our role is to support your technology infrastructure and guide you through the technology decisions involved in building your business.
Assam Comes First
We will give priority to Assam-based businesses.
That does not mean we will not help entrepreneurs from outside Assam. It is simply that AssamLabs also has a personal vision behind this initiative. We are based here, we understand the local ecosystem, and we want to contribute to the growth of the upcoming businesses and entrepreneurs in our own region.
At the moment, this entire initiative is being run privately by AssamLabs. We are not backed by any government organisation yet.
However, we are looking forward to changing that.
Our team is also trying to establish a collaboration between the private and government sectors so that both can work together towards the betterment of young entrepreneurs and the startup ecosystem.
For us, this is not about creating another service that we can sell.
It is about helping someone who has a good idea but may not know where to start with technology. It is about telling them that they don't need to spend ₹50,000 on something they can get for free. It is about helping them understand what technology they actually need, what they can avoid, and how they can build a strong foundation without burning through their initial capital.
If we can help a few good businesses get started without making unnecessary technology mistakes, then we believe this initiative is already worth it.
